Boomkat Product Review:
This second Soulpoint EP for SD Records finds Rotterdam's Louis Guilliaume editing his way through '80s pop tunes on 'For Ever', sculpting his source material into a dirge of relentless, single-minded dancefloor techno. 'Emotional Content' opts for a different strategy altogether, and finds Guilliaume laying down some pleasing, beatless synth patterns for your consideration, only for 'Time Relapse' to rekindle a more energetic tone, propelled by crisp drum machines and modulating rhythmic synth patterns. Finally, 'Cairo' gets a bit weird and out of time, focussing on off-kilter sound designs and big, buzzing pads. Ace.
