Boomkat Product Review:
After his debut for Trapez Las bicicletas son para el verano, Alex Under strikes again with his micro-chic-techno, more cerebral than ever, not only when you consider the title reference, but also through the sheer, absorbent and precise track constructions. Unmistakable already, by the way in which he joins collage-style the most alienating rhythms and melodies, Alex Under submerges us once again in a rollercoaster of rhythms characterized by the way he works the ensemble and gradually alienates melodies in a highly personal way. Always mutating at every beat, transforming a legacy that goes from detroit to more recent diversions, always keeping in mind that less is more. Mental stimulation and physical drive is the key to his tracks. With this second 12” Alex unveils hints of his forthcoming lp on trapez this autumn – good one.
