Boomkat Product Review:
Glassy nu-new age synth improvisations, harp and glockenspiel twinkles and faint, hazy field recordings - so lovely.
Inspired by sonic sleep aids and ambient music for children, Aussies Amelia Besseny and Cooper Bowman make homespun, deep listening tone poems that buzz in and out of the brain without even a hint of darkness. The duo pit themselves against negativity on "Small Movements in Radiance", evoking Steve Roach or Iasos; these are warm, syrupy sounds that transport you to a safer, more spiritual realm.
If this all sounds a little wellness-adjacent don't worry, there's something grounded about Troth's music - instead of a sketchy Californian yoga retreat, it's a bit more like a peaceful nap in a secret garden. Restorative stuff, really.
