Boomkat Product Review:
The boy done good again, the third installment in the always essential Skreamizm series is another milestone in the development of the most exciting UK dance movement of the decade. As ever with the Skreamizm series, each and every track is a stone cold killer, no naughty snake charming fillers here like. Opening with the kinetic charge of 'Losing Control' Skream lays his cards on the table with a flush of hyper-edited wildout steppers rhythms and turbo injected bass with a cocksure swagger, the sound of a man on top of his game. The ubiquitous halfsteppers anthem 'Chest boxing' gets a side to itself, you'll know this one if you've been paying even the slightest attention to the scene, righteously rinsed by EVERY DJ who owns a copy, from Mary-Anne Hobbs on Radio1 to Kode9, N-Type and all the rest. Personal favourite 'check it' gets a heavy vinyl cut, previously only available on the Skream! cd now it's here on wax to mash up any floor with that mad double time switch up and one of Warrior Queen's finest performances. Totally essential purchase for anyone with even the slightest interest in this stuff.
