Boomkat Product Review:
Omar S vibes out with none other than Nite Jewel in the delectable Sky Train, backed with the keyboard solo of Ian Finkelstein and some magic walking bassline business.
The place to go for Omar's nice 'n easy vibes, his Side Trakx series has turned out some low key nuggets over the last ten years, this being a prime example.
On Sky Train Ramona Gonzales a.k.a. Nite Jewel glides on walking bass thru twinkling keys in a soft focus scene destined for perfect warm-up sets everywhere. Recorded in 2007, it could have feasibly come from any time between late '70s Memphis and the modern day, as alluded to in their instrumental Chattanooga, TN-mix.
On the flipside you see one of those nifty vinyl cuts that FXHE tend to use, with a lush keyboard solo in the Avenue Mix, and a thumbs-in-belt-loop Austin-TX-mix for cowboys after a hard shift in the saddle.
Vibes all night.
