Boomkat Product Review:
Superb debut release from Steve Summers keeping Clone's new Jack For Daze imprint in line with three primally raw and effective Chicago jack trax. It's really all about the title track, a stereotypical acid cut produced in a deeply rooted tradition stretching from Larry Heard or Joe Lewis to early 808 State or A.G.C.G with mesmerizing drum machine patterns and rude flashes of 303 given a lick of authenticity by an analogue tape recordings. 'Waves' is another true-skool Chicago cut, blending dark synthbass and rolling floor toms with smooth jazzed keys and finally 'Message From The Past' sounding like some prime joint you'd hear in a Prosumer set but never know the name of. Fans of Legowelt, Larry Heard or Jamal Moss should check these.
