Boomkat Product Review:
A startlingly subtle and quietly very beautiful piece of work from David Daniell, whose approach to digital minimalism invokes the spirit of true greats like Bernhard Gunter, Steve Roden, Richard Chartier and Francisco Lopez. This album requires diligent close listening, but the minuscule textures and sub-tones that lurk beneath an artifice of silence reveal a beautiful soundworld in miniature, yielding an abundance of auricle-caressing treats. There are two longform pieces here, and neither is exactly prone to overstatement or grand gestures, yet the gravelly crackle and infrasonic oscillator throbs take on an arrestingly powerful presence if your ears are open to such minutiae. Very highly recommended.
