Celebrating ten years in business, Seed Records set about putting together a three-abum set of new and exclusive contributions from some of their favourite artists. This is the third and final disc in the series with tracks supplied by the likes of The Doubtful Guest, Capracara, Yard and electronica veteran, Bauri. WIth their untitled introductory piece, Snakefork don't pull any punches, grinding out some winningly unpleasant distortion and siren-like oscillations in the lead up to the Sleep In Oysters remix of Mary And Polly's 'Ice Cream' - a charming lo-fi pop tune that seems to be about ennui and dessert. Capracara's 'Panic Beats' gives an early highlight, throwing down a big, protruding bass presence and dramatic mellotron chords. IDM survivor Bauri slinks into a minimalist 4/4 groove for the miniaturised laptop house gestures of 'You Are Not Here', while harder fare comes from Jacques Lueder, Planet Mu beat mangler The Doubtful Guest and low-frequency explorer Woody McBride, whose 'Der Wierd' scowls furiously from the speakers. The final listed track (there is one other strange and meandering recording tacked on at the end) offers something on the novelty front: (snyzch) turns out a drill & bass rehash of the Eastenders theme tune.
