Boomkat Product Review:
We don't need to tell you how good this is - Playhouse setting partys worldwide alight with this monster tune carefully rebuilt courtesy of the mighty Losoul and Rework. Featuring the vocals of Julee Cruise, we find ourself in the bizzare, glitter-strewn theatre of Playhouse meets Twin Peaks in a world turned on its head. Losoul's opening salvo pitches wah-wah'd voices levelled off with mid-paced 4/4isms and the midnight alien jazz-club vocal of Miss Cruise (sounding considerably less ethereal than on previous offerings) - a match made in a very very dark place, as addictive as anything you'll have heard this year. Khan's original is up next - a bizzarely brilliant lo-fi piece performed on Bontempi with a 50p microphone and a rusting 4-track, all for a cause which you must obey at every turn - freaky excellence. Rework's 'Looking At You' mix is a straighter slice for the dancefloor, bass shuffles and a slightly faster pace, wickid and wild. Mighty stuff.
