Boomkat Product Review:
Glasgow's six-headed groove beast Golden Teacher get the red-carpet, silver-ink treatment for their best batch yet in 'Sauchiehall Enthrall'. Leading on from those ace Dennis Bovell dubs, it was also recorded mostly at the city's creative hub, The Green Door recording studio and presents the UK's rudest, most aware dance band at their very best: from the ruffshod bashment punk funk of 'Shatter' thru the hip-notic tribal reduction of 'No Hemos Vívído' across the A-side; over to what sounds like Liasones Dangereuses playing a Cómeme party with 'On The Street', or the cranky-assed, psychoactive soundsystem fiyah of 'In The Close'. Like we said, it's hands-down their baddest joint to date, which is no doubt a result of their well-honed instrumental muscle and intuition from playing countless, raved-about gigs. Highly recommended!
