Boomkat Product Review:
Belgium's brilliant Vlek Records gone done it again, pulling out another ace from Sagat. One year since his debut 'Few Mysteries Solved In A Year Of Contact' appeared and starred in Ben Klock's Fabric 66 mix, his 'Satellite' orbits four space-dusty enigmas of Actress-like calibre. Trapped in hazy compression chamber, his 'Intruder' breaches the dancefloor's outer limits with sluggish, furtive bass groove and skewed organ chords, whilst 'Port' picks up the pace proper with a driving, scuffed swagger offset by prcise woodblocks and buffeted by white noise blasts. The title track is possibly most Actress-like, a dreamily half-formed 2-stepper with mystic sci-fi atmospheres, and 'Ten Steps Removed' perhaps comes closest to his label mate, Wanda Group, making a virtue of dense, layered noise and clogged filter vibes.
