Boomkat Product Review:
Third 12" compiling tracks from TDs Hyperdub album 'Undeniable', presenting the time-warped urgency of 'SOS', the menacing 'Sonar (Selassi Mix)', and the album's title track featuring D Double E. 'SOS' has to be one of his most experimental creations, setting a vivid urban soundscape with natty one-finger melody, tarmac-scorching synth drops and a delinquent riddim switching from itchy 138bpm grime to 123bpm House after a morphing martial breakdown. Updating one of his all time classics, the Selassi Mix of '05s 'Sonar' is filled with sparse slashes of darkside bass and alley-strafing, shark-eyed synths while the Godfather style intro of 'Undeniable gives way to a dominant D Double E performance over a sticky fusion of Bernie Worrell-esque synths and drums that Timabland would be proud of.
