Boomkat Product Review:
Ransom Note’s go-to-guy, Bawrut, comes up with three fruity, off-kilter acid house chews for the Leeeds-based zine/party crew/label after giving their first-born, Chiquita and an acclaimed edit of Boyd Jarvis’ proto-house foundation, The Music Got Me back in 2016.
We see they’ve gone for the alt-facts centre label - very now - but in fact you get the snake-hipped acid trance glyde of Rumba* - which is the most Cómeme thing we’ve ever heard outside of Matias Aguayo’s label - cut long and lean across one side, with two ruder hustles on the flip, namely the Mark Moore-esque kink of Routa* and a dead cheeky edit Tano* that somehow pulls off a mad fusion of Soundhack and Powell sozzled on coke and wine.
*Track names are quite possibly wrong. They sound great, though.
