Boomkat Product Review:
Mista Man, Mella Dee, on a wicked dolo mission carved to wax by Forefront Recordings. It's all much slower than his usual bassline house and neo-garage wurkouts, but essentially uses a similar palette on a ruddier house sound. A-side 'Gassed' is a weapon, inflating wide-ass subs below decelerated drums and duppied vox for a battered rudeboy stagger. B-side 'Fazed' is bit cleaner, loaded with a memorable vocal lick and really juicing those slow drums to tight-belly effect, while 'In The Bits' feels like bassline house on minus 8, everything drugged up and more tarry, but somehow more sensual. Ace.
