Boomkat Product Review:
Originally released in 2005 as an 8" lathe cut, this typically terrifying transmission from the Wolf Eyes camp gets underway with a first part that's packed with lurching, half-rhythms and ghoulish tones, at certain points gleefully strangling reed sequences whilst clanking about with fearsome percussive noises, quasi-Exorcist-alike voicings and a breakdown of sorts that sounds like the Predator is having an asthma attack. Using many of these same elements the second half picks up with a more destroyed feel, crunching out isolated machine rasps and brassy groans. All good stuff, as usual. "Anti music? Noise? Celebrating life? Wolf Eyes experiments within the outer limits of music and are forcing the concepts to it's edge. Since 1996 they have toured extensively and published works on hundreds of labels around the world. Wolf Eyes have taken noise to a bigger and wider audience across the globe."
