Boomkat Product Review:
**Upfront Exclusive** Potently gothic Electro wave from this well-tipped French producer. Almost like an inverse analog to the likes of SebastiAn's excitable Electro-disco, Mondkopf's still got the rugged, freshly twisted rhythms, but the vibe is darker yet quite thrilling. The 'Intrus' paints a bleak picture, not like sh*t-yerself scary, more anticipating something fierce, which comes with 'Deadwood', sounding like T. Raumschmiere on a hit-and-run mission. The cinematic vibe is sustained throughout, balanced equally with stylish dancefloor violence; from the solo piano keys and body-tangling jack of 'Day Of Anger', through epic beatless scenery of 'Moon's Throat' and marching onwards through fusions of Gatekeeper's hulking Italo and the kind of tranced-out w*tchhouse plied by Fostercare on 'Where The Gods Fall' or the nightmarish sawtooth synth lashes of 'Girls Don't Cry Part II'.
