Boomkat Product Review:
'Riders' is the first digital release by this NYC-based synth-drone and electro-acoustic trio, who've formerly been heard on cassettes for True Color Of Venus. For the esteemed NNA Tapes they slowly amass layers of wispy trumpet and thickened electronic drones into rich symphonic sculptures, recalling the refined majesty of Rune Grammofon's Supersilent troupe, and the expanding alien vistas of Golden Retriever. They reach truly giddy heights at the apex of 'With The Sun Of My Face And Truth On My Lips What's Behind Me Doesn't Matter' but always with a steady-handed control, while 'Darkness In The Land While Electrons Silently Collide Creating New Worlds' is more more tempered between elemental, Vainio-esque electronics and the kind of neo-classical pomp which could soundtrack Attenborough narrating a documentary on deep space. Impressive.
