*Absolutely mindblowing collection of unreleased material from Chicago House pioneers Virgo, dusted off and now brought to the world courtesy of Rush Hour* Collecting 16 incredible, unreleased tracks produced between 1984-1990, 'Ressurection' is a follow-up to Rush Hour's essential reissue of Virgo's eponymous LP last year. Due to a combination of local label politics and bad timing these tracks have languished in the archives for far too long, but thanks to the diligent efforts of Rush Hour we get a glimpse into the more experimental and esoteric strains of one of Chicago's most definitive and influential groups. Initial highlights have to be the fluid groove transmission of 'Sex', the sub-weighty depths of 'Let The Music Play', the Chris & Cosey-esque 'Lost Inside Of You', and the gobsmacking anthem potential of 'I Have Always Wanted', but genuinely, nearly every track here is pure killer and sounding all the better for a prime remastering job. This digital version contains one extra track, the sumptuous, New Age-y 'Deep Blue' that won't be on the CD, while the luxurious vinyl boxset will contain 30 tracks total! Hugely recommended - do not miss!!!
