Boomkat Product Review:
Emerging out of a beatmaking hub guided and mentored by none other than Claro Intelecto (keep your eyes peeled for the return of Claro, very soon!), andy stott has been writing tracks for quite a few years now, refining his crunched-up destroyers into something that has quite honestly started to scare us here with its sheer brilliance. His club tracks see another re-modification of classic Detroit stylings, settling on a meeting point between detroit techno, soulful house, electro and a hitherto undefined variation of deviant electronic music. These 4-tracks represent his debut release for Modern Love, though judging from the murmurings and corridor whispers it seems that this born and bred manchester producer has already attracted the attention of several heads. Seriously, having just heard glimpses of his next EP, trust us when we say that Andy Stott is a name you’ll be intimately familiar with before the year’s out. Absolutey killer!
