Boomkat Product Review:
New remix 12" from NYC's most eclectic DJ. The Antipop Consortium remix of ‘French Quarter’ might well be the last we hear from M.Sayid, Beans, Earl Blaize and Priest in this guise. Slightly more muddy than 'Arrhythmia', this track features the usual lyrical tongue twisting and ill sonic tweaking - but it's over far too soon. Rob Swift's remix of 'The Project(s)' is heavy on the boom and bap, def scratching with nice rhyming from Subcon (inst also included). The b-side remix is wholly taken up by Spooky = deep illbient underground beatstroke turntablist rumblings, much finer than most of the man's past efforts. Overall this 12" is very fine indeed.
