Regis Mixes
Regis rehoofs his broken techno classics as Ugandan Speed Trials for his sparring partners at Osiris Music UK - massive RIYL British Murder Boys, early AFX, T++
The stone cold classic 2007 originals now benefit from Regis’ reshod some 15 years later, subtly tweaking its drums with extra trills and seething drive right on the biting point. On their original release, these were a really big deal, distilling and galvanising the tastiest aspects of his work with Surgeon in British Murder Boys to focus on pure, stripped down clank of the drums and metallic, blood-in-the-air tang of the drones and slathering bass.
‘Untitled 1’ is adroitly augmented with sparking drum fills but with the basic structure left mostly untreated, as far as we can tell, whilst the B-side’s ‘Untited 2’ gets right at it with pendulous, pugilistic force that leaves no body still on the ‘floor.
