Boomkat Product Review:
Lee Bannon a.k.a. ¬ b unloads a dazzling selection of 30 sawn-off Reflections (2012-2016) that will keep everyone guessing after previous incursions on ambient jungle, techno and IDM terrain.
Raw, rugged and ready-to-play, they form a sparking matrix of diverse ideas darting between hardstyle, trap, 2-step and reggaeton and jungle reference points with a wicked, para-dimensional appeal somewhere between directly up-for-it, and half-finished, outta reach.
Bar two cuts with NON co-founder Angel Ho, and Youtube-diver, The Range, it’s entirely his work, bleeding with a distinctive style and morphing pattern that intersects comparable work from Pita or TCF’s digital hyperscapes to Sully’s jungle brukouts and Lee Gamble-style techno.
Lots to check out here; definitely worth diving in headfirst.
