Boomkat Product Review:
Jonny Trunk rounds up the best of his boutique imprint's recent output on this budget priced compendium of bargain bin charms wrapped up in packaging paying dues to a Sainsbury's lard packet. From classic TV themes to smoking jazz, unreleased cues and even Ryan from the MMs bar, this compact disc has got it all, and then some. Ryan has the honour of opening proceedings (I sincerely hope he's aware of his cameo), flogging his freshly made sandwiches and speciality teas and coffees all priced at 75 pence, beside Del Close And John Brent's 'Basic Hip', Maximillion's fuzzed-up funk, a lovely moment from Eden Ahbaz's 'Eden's Island' classic, plus a fine spot of Terry Thomas "…well one day I happened to be standing at the bar, practically, enjoying a very nice pint of old and filthy…", some twinkling Basil Kirchin, the 'Music From Mathematics' compilation, and even Rolf Harris doing a cha cha version of 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down' - we sh*t you not.
