Boomkat Product Review:
Mik Mak Mok’s ‘Scarlet Pimpistrelle’ is a cracking opener, with a rather baroque folk arrangement, meanwhile, the psych-lite stylings of ‘Reach For The Sun’ might be more at the Kulashaker end of the spectrum than the Acid Mothers Temple end, but the amiable home production, with its synth bloops and spongy rhythms, more than compensates. Meanwhile, on the flipside, Lazybones kicks off with ‘Faint and Porcelain’ a charming slice of lo-fi bedroom folk. Very pleasing indeed.
