Boomkat Product Review:
Boris Bunnik caps a vintage year with this six-track suite of sci-fi electro-techno and ambient. In contrast to the sheer contours of his Silent Harbour output and his classy techno as Conforce, he offers his most romantic material as here Versalife. A-side sets the scene with crystallized keys and morphing synth pad shapes on 'Voronel', beside the Heinrich Mueller-esque electro experiments, 'Isolated Context' and 'Scale'. Flip it over and 'Mesmerizied' comes clean as the obvious club track with heavy 808 bass and pointillist snares washed by warm, minimal synth pads next to the eerily AFXian pumper 'Rate Of Change' and the sci-fi scape 'Particles'.
