Boomkat Product Review:
Proper darkside body music from the Berghain resident. Back on Ostgut Ton, it's almost as if, just like his Berghain DJ sets, he's permitted to stretch out and go as dark as he feels across these four tracks. The A-side in particular is grade A dystopian techno, rumbling in with the syncopated hydraulic flow and stoic gloom of 'Range', while cloaking BMB-style polyrhythms with scary synth wipes on the body-owning 'Iso'. Flipside he plays straighter and strictly functional, churning up the dry humped rhythmic grind and GHB voices of 'Push' and the haughty Chicago buckbeat, 'Allies' in deadliest Berlin style.
