Boomkat Product Review:
Heavy twelve from Duncan Powell, much respected producer and luminary of MJ Cole's Profile imprint, here delivering a hefty variant on widescreen steppers that borrows from the cut-up wonk of recent instrumental beat works alongside the fidgety sampling styles more commonly found among the Future Garage fraternity. It's like a less steppy, slower variant of the kind of sound Pariah and Joy Orbison have more or less made their own in recent times. Over on the flip Falty DL continues to impress with a more robust variant, re-wiring the original into a swinging 2-step configuration complete with a noxious bassline and a sound palette borrowed straight from classic Hardcore. Good stuff - especially the remix.
