Boomkat Product Review:
Those disco/metal fusionists Chrome Hoof return with this fine remix EP, following up on the success of their Pre-emptive False Rapture album from last year, the band (comprising members of hitherto entirely unrelated acts Cathedral and Spektrum) have recruited Graham Massey and The Count Of Monte Cristal for reworkings. The 808 State producer steals the show with an incredibly rambunctious 'Pronoid' remix, sounding just about as lively as electronic music gets with plenty of expressive synth manoeuvring, and of course those timeless drum machine hits. The Count goes for a more contemporary sounding rave-up with his 'Tonyte' overhaul, which in another context would probably sound a bit daft, but given his source material it makes perfect sense.
