Boomkat Product Review:
This Danish quintet have really come up with the goods for this, their second album, an implausibly detailed tapestry of all manner of modern psychedlia and forward-thinking compositions. There are so many great songwriting ideas crammed into these songs that it's fairly impossible to know how to go about describing them. Rest assured though, this is an album of boundless invention, with a pop-fuelled resourcefulness akin to Animal Collective at their most focussed, with hints of post-rock (well, they are Scandinavian), free jazz and Tim Hecker-style washed-out electronic drizzle. There's a great deal for a prospective listener to contend with hear, and the sheer rate of change at certain points of the album is quite intimidating, but repeated listens will reap ample rewards. A real keeper this one.
