Boomkat Product Review:
As promised, Blackest Ever Black disclose their first Confessions from Pete Swanson and Moin. Entering the booth with clammy palms and racing mind (any unfortunate Catholics should relate), Pete Swanson confides the prickly synth noise fantasies and grubby bass thoughts of 'Positive' on the A-side, compacting his sprawling tendencies into four minutes of visceral sludge. It's easily the most bass-heavy, controlled and interesting sideways production from Swanson yet. On the flipside, devout darkside types Moin make their first official appearance in this guise. Stepping, Suicide-like kicks Rock back-and-forth in a claustrophobic, cloistered headspace penetrated by restrained lashes of guitar, leaving listeners with an uncomfortable sense of catharsis.
