Boomkat Product Review:
As with so much of the best pop music, The Caribbean's sound has an oddly aloof quality. Marrying a subdued delivery with acute melodic sensibilities results in some impressive indie rock. In truth, there really isn't a great deal more to this album than the fact that it's a really strong indie rock record, but it's smart, well-produced and loaded with great starting points to stories: "I took to Wayne because we both loved The Who." to name but one. At least one of the tracks here is capable of raising some neck hairs too: 'The Go From Tactical' is far too beautiful to have such a daft title, and once again, part of its success is down to a kind of casual indifference in the delivery. Good stuff.
