Following an excellent foray into experimental percussion on his ‘Music For Three Cymbals’ EP, Paleman returns to the hydraulically pressurised styles found on his previous PLMN 12”s and for NonPlus, Zehnin and Loefah’s 81 since 2015.
‘Sieves’ works up a cold sweat of electrified dubbing and pummelling subs, and ‘Wax Wasp’ sidewinds off at angles into Hard Drum styles recalling Szare and DJ Plead, with the squashed dread of ‘Audio Repeater’ hitting square between the styles of Regis and Beneath. For contrasting measure the experimental scene of subaquatic subs and silty brownian slosh in ‘Form Funnels’ neatly resonates with his ‘Music For Three Cymbals’ EP and hauntingly highlights his talents beyond the floor.
