Boomkat Product Review:
Finders Keepers' Andy Votel & Doug Shipton captain this shiny ten-track vessel of "domestic synth-pop & plugged in punk" sporting obscure, behind-the-sofa obscurities from Biting Tongues, Cybotron (not that one), and Bernard Szajner, among others.
The focus is on weird, danceable objects made at transitory times in the cracks between styles, chronologies and fidelities. It's the rearguard of punk f**king with disco, drugs and cheap electronics and includes some absolute gems amongst its ranks.
"Ten unacquainted and elusive slices of synthetic squat-pop, angular funk, teapot kosmiche and fraudulent disco from self-propelled imprints and global co-ops. Named after Günter Bernas' obscure anti-brand, this ongoing series combines rare, unknown and untravelled wax nuggets of night club punk, art school zeuhl anbd quasi-political pop united by soldering irons, C-60s and sarcastic synth tones."
