Boomkat Product Review:
Third outing for Bully's Special Projects Division, each title strictly limited, hand made and hand numbered by the beavering Bully clan. Matt Kelly was responsible for one of our favourite ever Bully 7"s, dig back into your collection and drop 'Equator X' from FU020. Next to get an even better idea where this limited CD is coming from play the deep blue clipped ambience of 'Terminal Bus' from FU023. Onto the CD, a sixteen track extended suite of ocean deep ambience with touches of Berlin dub thrown into the mix. Some tracks sound like Isan dropping dub others delve into guitar lead acoustic folk jams and then it's on to abstract bleep trips that sound like an update on the wires and fuse sounds of old. As previously mentioned there's a definite Berlin influence at work here but there's also a delicate touch that sets it apart from a lot of the music in that style. If you dig Bully for all it's diversity then you'll love this album and be surprised at the same time, especially if you buy this and the Silver Apples classic also issued this week. Highly recommended and again just in case you missed that part this is seriously limited...y'hear?
