Boomkat Product Review:
NYC's Aurora Halal makes a sterling solo debut proper on the freshly minted Mutual Dreaming label - named after her A/V clubnight - backed with a tripping Detroit mix by Terrence Dixon. It's a super string introduction to her sound, from the grunting acidic heft of 'Hazy G' landing somewhere between Xosar and Gesloten Cirkel styles, to the sci-fi synth spumes of 'Overpass', thru the murky, Morphosis-like 'Siren (Reprise)' and the duppied techno of 'Disassociate'. Cherry on the cake is Terrence Dixon's inimitably twisted Detroit mix of 'Overpass'. Tipped!
