Boomkat Product Review:
Surely the finest pop single of the past twelve months, 'Paris' gets a richly deserved re-release, backed up with a couple of intriguing remixes. First up is the Aeroplane version, which in truth is a bit more of a cover than a remix, throwing in a fresh female vocal and a slowed down electro-disco production. While hardly a substitution for the original, it does do a great deal more than any by-the-book overhaul would. Considerably more conventional in its approach is Justus Kohncke's remix, optimising the track for the dancefloor with an escalating sense of melancholy and grandeur. Two great B-sides then, and one classic lead track to boot.
