Objects Limited release a second EP with Turkish artist Jtamul after 2019's striking 'Lubuni' which explored queer linguistic culture local to Istanbul.
"This EP 'Paramparça' keeps true to Turkish club culture: "I love how Turkish club tracks have lots of various styles of out-of-sync drumming piled upon the pop tracks. I wanted to take some elements from that kind of approach without losing the playful sensibility. I used various materials to build up this idea: free imitated FM drums, breakbeat drum kits and Turkish pop acapellas." Jtamul continues "I was trying to have a dorky type of sense when I was making 'TTTxut' and offered one of my closest friends do0gi to rap on it and so he gave a fierce vibe to the whole song."
'Bigudi' is the name of the only queer club in Istanbul and a place for Jtamul and their friends to express their take on club music in a land fixed between the East and the West with a repressive government. These tracks are a beautiful insight into an underground scene filled with hope, love and friendship."
