Boomkat Product Review:
Mark Nelson had already provided the Kranky label with its very first release under the Labradford moniker back in 1993, but in 1998 decided to further develop his interest in electronic music and, in particular, dub stylings through a new project - Pan American. This debut, self-titled album still sounds as opulent and overwhelming as it did when it first came out - a vast, widescreen landscape fusing drifting echoes and sparkling dub twists that have typified his sound ever since. "Pan American" had a massive impact on me personally when it first came out, always managing to leave a sweet, perfumed after-taste that longers on to this day. Highly Recommended.
