Boomkat Product Review:
Right in time for Samhain, L.A. Club Resource kick out four bloodied house jams from Gene Hunt and new cats like Wrecking Project, Blacktail, and Innyster with the label's boss Delroy Edwards rumoured to be among them…
Chicago pioneer Gene Hunt takes pole position with the squealing horror samples and jerky jab of 'Ow (Drum Beat)' sounding like a ruffneck prototype for AFX's 'Elephant Song', whilst Wrecking Project sucks yer mind thru a flanging wormhole of metallic delays and rush-up machine patterns with 'S-Sonics'.
Blacktail joins the party on the B-side with a natty Gherkin jerk-style ace called 'Now Muzik', and the label's new Brazilian signing, Innyster rattles off a knobbly knacker that sounds like the tape is going to spool and crumple at any second.
