Boomkat Product Review:
The excellent Uzuri imprint returns with a deep and squidgy EP of housin' gear from Moscow based anomaly, Anton Zap. We were rather enamoured with Zap's self titled EP for UQ last year and we're beginning to fall for this one too, with good reason. 'Spain' shows his pedigree with an ace downbeat groover, barely bothering the 110bpm mark, before 'Alice Miracle' nutrifies your soul with a jazz rich intro gelling double bass with so-off-they're-on keys and glorious astral strings swept into a luscious house groove. Make sure to check this! 'Mon; 16,46' follows with another sublime house effort, drawing lines from EBM and techno roots into his deeeep house style, before ending on the psyched electronic abstraction of 'Can't Wait For Snow'. A producer to watch, for sure! Big tip to any fans of Jus Ed, Levon Vincent or DJ Qu.
