Boomkat Product Review:
The Body part make up for that Evanescence-styled LP for Thrill Jockey with a proper dose of filth delivered shoulder to shoulder with harshcore band Full of Hell.
They’re still working some poperatic tics out of their system, as with Fleshworks, but that foible aside, this one is made of ear-gougingly strong stuff, pitting Full of Hell’s expectorating grindcore vocals against The Body’s discomfiting strum und drang with raging force and technique in the tumultuous title track One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, or spreading the sludge like an eager farm hand with a brand New Holland machine in their killer cover of Leonard Cohen’s The Butcher.
Not for the prim or faint hearted; for everyone else it’s a fucking riot.
