Boomkat Product Review:
**Edition of 650 copies on high quality 180g magenta vinyl, transferred from licensed EMI tapes, housed in re-envisioned sleeve** Medical Records aren't short on genuine synth-pop nuggets, but this is one of their wildest reissues to date. It comes courtesy of the maverick Peter Ogi, who started his musical career in early Hungarian punk band, The Spions, but would go on to work with Malcolm Maclaren just years after the Sex Pistols split. Their relationship resulted in this standout collection of unique hi-end synth-pop, entirely composed by Ogi, with half of the lyrics co-written by Maclaren. You might ask why this never registered on your radar with Malcolm's involvement and all, but EMI only released the LP in France, hence it's relative unknown status elsewhere. Now, 30 years after original release the combination of highly deft hooks, masterful studio trickery and artful lyrics and composition is something of a revelation for fans and devotees of early Fad Gadget, Daniel Miller, or Malcolm Maclaren.
