Boomkat Product Review:
London's Yellow Machines label launches this, its very first release with one track each by M2J and Scanone. The design aesthetics might look a bit IDM, but the particular brand of electronica on show here takes a huge dubstep influence, placing so much of its emphasis on bass, which is handled with great adeptness in both cases - although I could probably do without a track called 'Odd Sockz' in my life. Despite the dodgy title, the constantly detuning/retuning soundest keeps things interesting and a little more inventive than your usual low-end centric outings. Scanone's 'Bleep23' is no less powerful with an ascending, rapid-fire bassline tearing up the woofers. Good stuff.
