Boomkat Product Review:
An unusual plate this one, not least because there's almost no text on it save an etching on the run out groove. A black record then, with an etched picture on the end of the flipside, and the music doesn't clear things up either. On one side we've got a cut of woozy techno-cum free jazz, with Minus style digital hiccups sitting uncomfortably next to slithering saxophones. It's an odd mix and slightly unsettling, but nothing really prepares you for the flipside which ditches the techno in favour of ambient drone, more along the lines of Oren Ambarchi than Richie Hawtin if you know what I mean. A very peculiar package then, and as usually happens with records of this nature it probably won't last very long. Spooky.
