Boomkat Product Review:
An awesome noise performance from avant-garde hero Jim O'Rourke, No Fun owner Carlos Giffoni and Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo, taking in a consistently engaging twenty minutes of rich and varied textures: Giffoni supplies the digital din mongering, manning computer, while Ranaldo sets down guitar and firehouse bell and O'Rourke coaxes a range of truly bizarre timbres from his synth. This is as much a skronked-up free jazz record as it is a conventional noise emission, and you get a real sense of energy and reactivity between the three artists. The crisp, unmuddied computer tones of Giffoni's laptop might be a bit too clean for some noise followers' liking, but they clash beautifully with the anarchic analogue of the sound spewing forth from the other two. Highly recommended.
