Boomkat Product Review:
Impeccably tucked 'n rolled Techno killers from the Brussels badboy. While he's all well and good working with straight 4/4 kickers, for our money PvH's most interesting moments occur when he slides off the grid into more swaggered rhythms. Example number one is 'North 6th', dropping kicks every few bars or shuffling the hi-hats with a devilish sleight-of-hand for absolutely funked-up body control. Flipside 'Desay Duty' is a more subtle, kinky mutha, rolling granite boulder drums into line while whirring synths, clipped claps and strafing hi-hats recalibrate the swing with expert manoeuvres. Fans of the finest modern techno need this record.
