Boomkat Product Review:
Impressively slick bass grooves and lush synth moves from Bad Taste's latest US pick-up, San Fran resident B Flat, backed with strong refits from Walter Ego, Beaches and Keumel. The sheer synth contours, oily hypeR&B rhythms and slyding vocals of 'Night Is Over' sound something like Jacques Greene dabbling in footwork while 'Coalescence' and 'Vacant Effect' feel like Jimmy Edgar or Falty DL productions. Walter Ego gives a darker, technoid garage remix to 'Coalescence' and Beaches percolates 'Vacant Effect' with pneumatic subs and trill hi-hats beside a '90s garage house take on 'Night…' from Keumel. Dead tidy.
