Boomkat Product Review:
Following on from last weeks very cool releases from Jjak Hogan and Luke Solomon, Rekids drop this little slice of future disco delight from Toby Tobias on our doorsteps. On 'Breakdown' Tobias takes a dash of rolling Italo bass and updates it within a useful tech house framework. 'Schweet' takes a similarly opulent and cosmic route, slowing down a notch and traversing the electro plains with some nifty synth action and a bumpin sub heavy beat. 'Eleven' moves on to deeper territory a few hours down the line with a lights-down-low house number, with a sparkling synthline straight out of the Other People Place textbook, rather neatly done. To round off the night (maybe it's daylight by now?) 'Latenightmoves' grinds the rhythm to a slow jackin Chicago styled hub with a killer piano line and a lethargic intent.
