Boomkat Product Review:
Brassfoot and J M S Khosah boot the NCA tape series into action with a crack'd and funked-up set of machine stunts.
J M S Khosah makes a memorable introduction on the A-side, veering from free-formed electro recdalling Ultradyne or Drexciya thru what sounds like a mutation of early UK Sheffield techno and Belgian New Beat, then back to the ruddiest electro-techno hydraulics and a melodic kiss-off like Funkineven-meets-Gifted & Blessed. Superb side; really need this on wax, too!
Big bad Brassfoot makes time for you on the B-side, entering with whacked out horror synth themes and canny samples, stealthily weaving in burned-out and hypnagogic drum loops and curdled pads with patented, authentic funk and X amounta salty noise to taste.
Class tape. Recommended.
