Boomkat Product Review:
Four new hard-as-nails house steppers on 50Weapons from Dark Sky. This is some of their heaviest, most fiendishly bruk material to date: 'Shutter' and 'Hequon' both occupy a sweet spot between Miami Bass 808 splack and the grime reductionism of Hessle Audio's Joe, the real sh*t to make your neck snap; the chords on the former eventually open up a bluesy techno drift-space, but there's no such mercy on the latter, it's proper rotten to the core. 'Shades' is just as tuff but turns on a more conventional 4/4 spit, while 'Gaddagive' threatens to pull the ground out from under you with its lysergic sino-synth accents and seriously nasty drum-swerve. Smartly engineered but unashamedly Route 1 club ammo, made to blow up the biggest spots.
